Are you trying to use your website logo for stationary or signage? Well it's probably not working too well. Read on to learn why.

Raster or Bitmap images require a much smaller resolution when being used for your website, blog, etc. If you try using raster or bitmaps for printing, the quality can look blurred and jagged on paper.

Raster: (composed of pixels)
A bitmap image uses a grid of individual pixels where each pixel can be a different color or shade. Bitmaps are composed of pixels.
Why Vector? By creating your logo in vector, the image can be used on presentations and stationary. It also gives you the ability to use your logo even on the biggest billboard and still have it look brilliant and sharp.

Vector: (composed of paths)
Vector graphics use mathematical relationships between points and the paths connecting them to describe an image. Vector graphics are composed of paths. Print logos require a much higher resolution and need to be saved in certain standard print formats. Some of the most common and universal print formats for print jobs are TIFF, EPS, and AI (Illustrator).
Raster Example
Raster images are more commonly called bitmap images.
Vector Example
Vector drawings can be scalable to any size without any loss in quality.
